The Shimano Tranx 500 Series combines High-Gear (HG) and Power-Gear (PG) overhead baitcaster in a range for demanding big game and offshore anglers. Whether fast, active drills with the HG version or powerful, controlled drills with the PG version – both reels offer maximum performance, stability, and precision. Thanks to the low-slung design, forged aluminum spool, and robust aluminum frame, the reels fit perfectly in the hand, even during long drills on strong predatory fish.

The reels are designed for large bigbaits and heavy lures, offer up to 11 kg of braking force, most advanced Dartanium II brake systems, as well as X-Ship, HEG Gearing and double bearing pinion gears for efficient cranking without power loss.
